3D IMPLANTOLOGY OR COMPUTER-GUIDED IMPLANTOLOGY involves placing implants without surgical procedures, incisions, sutures or swelling, and therefore without pain. For this reason, it is highly sought after, especially by patients who have already experienced it. Their experience shows that the procedure is similar to having a tooth restored with a filling. If they ever need another tooth replaced, they no longer want conventional surgical implant placement, but exclusively 3D computer-guided implantology.

In order to plan a perfect and pain-free implant placement with the help of a computer, a CT scan (three-dimensional image of the jaw) of the patient is required. Three-dimensional imaging provides an accurate visualization of the dental structures in their true spatial position (without magnification). With the help of computerized implant planning software and a CT scan, the exact bone thickness, height, density and anatomical structures can be seen, making it possible to place an implant with exceptional precision that is of the ideal size and in the ideal position.
