– When the patient arrives for implant placement, the guide is positioned in the mouth and the implant is placed directly through the guide. Of course, this technique is possible if the patient has sufficient bone thickness and height. If there is insufficient bone, bone augmentation may be required, which is a procedure that is now performed very successfully.
