The doctors at Dental Estetic Studio continuously educate themselves in the latest therapeutic approaches for treating all types of gingivitis and periodontal disease.
Problems with gum inflammation, which can lead to periodontal disease if left untreated, are among the most common dental conditions today. It has long been proven that gum inflammation and a high presence of bacteria can seriously affect overall health, not just lead to tooth loss. This issue is receiving increasing attention today. Swelling, redness, and bleeding of the gums are signs of gingivitis, i.e. inflammation, which, if untreated, can progress to periodontal disease, causing gum recession, bone loss, and eventually loose teeth and tooth loss.
It is very important to diagnose the cause and stage of periodontal disease and adapt the treatment accordingly. Depending on the severity, type, and cause of the disease, therapy may include mechanical removal of deposits, ultrasonic tartar cleaning, curettage of the gums and periodontal pockets, bacterial swab analysis, medication therapy, surgical procedures, and more.
We use a special PIEZZO device, which today often replaces curettage, is less invasive, and enables a more gentle and elegant periodontal treatment approach.
Problems with receding gums, i.e. gum recession in certain areas, are treated with minor surgical procedures using connective tissue grafts or membrane techniques. The causes of gum recession are numerous, and in individual patients they are often a combination of several factors.
Proper and regular tooth brushing and ultrasonic tartar removal are the basic prerequisites for preventing periodontal disease. Today, professional tartar cleaning is recommended every 3–6 months, not only once a year. This is one of the simplest things you can do for your dental health because removing deposits eliminates bacteria, prevents inflammation, and helps prevent gum recession.
The most common mistakes we encounter in patients:
PERIODONTAL DISEASE – treatments with periodontal microsurgical procedures
Gum recession problems resolved with a microsurgical procedure using a connective tissue graft
